The Passionate Protector

Although he doesn't necessarily have a huge temper, Buckbranch is a cat to tread carefully around. He loves a good argument and won't back down once one has begun. In fact, he'll argue his points LOUDLY until he's either out of breath or the other cat backs down. He is easily agitated, but would never harm another unless given a very good reason (self-defense, for example). However, he is not quick to pick a physical fight. He'd rather stay put on the sidelines than get his paws bloody. Peaceful ways out are his go-to solutions. He's kind and gentle, and likes to crack the occasional joke if the mood is right. He's also not afraid to playfully flirt with close friends. Buck isn't afraid to step up and defend what he thinks is right. He doesn't care if his opinion is seen as "wrong" or "right"; if he think's it's valuable, he'll gladly defend it. 
It's probably important to know that Buttercup is also very distrusting and closed off about many topics, such as his childhood and his parents, among other things. Because his mother didn't care for him and he pushed his father away, he learned to deal with things on his own. He only opens up to cats he has a positive relationship with, and even then it's a very rare occurrence. He refuses to seek advice if he thinks he can do it himself. There are occasions when he will withdraw into a depressive state, although these periods are not very severe and never last more than a day at the most. He tends to act based on emotion rather than logical decisions, and while he may yell and snarl, he would never willingly use his claws.

Buckbranch is also a total dad and ADORES kits. He can't resist them, wants to spend all of his time with them, and would lay down his life to protect them. You touch the child, you better be prepared to see a pint-sized multicolored ball of fury hurtling your way.

• Will literally refuse to get his injuries seen to until everyone else has been treated first and it's very annoying

• Doesn't leave any time in his day for like,,, any fun at all, because he feels like he needs to be working constantly

• Terrified of failure to the point where he doesn't want to risk trying new things at all
